Medications in Pregnancy

The following are quite safe to take during pregnancy:-

  • Panadol, Panadeine
  • Canesten (used internally for thrush and now available over the counter at pharmacies)
  • Miconozole cream for thrush
  • Maxolon (for nausea)
  • Penicillin based antibiotics
  • Keflex
  • Vicks Sinex (for colds) is safe but should only be used for 2-3 days, preferably just at night, 30 minutes before going to bed.
  • Asthma drugs
  • Vit B6
  • Primrose Oil
  • Raspberry Leaf Tea

Avoid  drugs such as Nurofen (Ibuprofen) and vitamin supplements containing vitamin A
